City of Walla Walla “Pipeline Annexation” Information
As of July 1, 2014, residents living within the boundaries of the City of Walla Walla’s
“Pipeline Annexation” will no longer reside within the boundaries of the Walla Walla
County Rural Library District.
If you live within the annexed area, this means:
- As a new City of Walla Walla resident, you may use the City of Walla Walla Public
Library without paying a fee – as your property taxes will now support city services.
- You may continue to use your existing library card with the Walla Walla County
Rural Library District until the end of 2014.
- If you wish to continue receiving services from the Walla Walla County Rural Library
District after 2014, you may purchase a non-resident library card from any rural
library district location.
- If you own another property within the unincorporated areas of Walla Walla County, you are
eligible for services at both libraries. You may continue using your rural library card and will
be eligible for services at the City of Walla Walla Public Library as well. Please let the library
know, and your account will be updated.
